History of Hope Food Inc.
Help Overcome Poverty Everyday!
Hope Food is a registered Non Profit 501 © 3. It was developed to help address the issues of hunger in the city of Escondido, and its surrounding counties. Hope Food was started by two women who believed their mission in life is to create opportunities for parents to provide a better life for their children. We are supported by volunteers with the same goals and interests in mind, especially in the area of hunger and children. We try to make a difference to individuals and the community.
We opened our doors in April 2006. In its first year Hope Food fed 500 families, second year over 10,000 people, Third year 17,000 and this year, we have served over 33,,000 , our fourth year we have reached over 85,000 people fed fifth, 100,000 Sixth year we reached a total of 130,000 since the beginning.
People have found us through word of mouth, with new families arriving everyday. Social Service programs have shown interest in our efforts, and have recommended our program to their clients, due to budget restrictions. Community Churches and caring neighbors have participated in our programs in an effort to provide comfort to a friend in need. The results have been enormous.
Besides our food program we offer programs to better our community, a place for teens to do community service, a clothing program, free baby food added to our packets upon request and furniture as we have it, we also offer free bread daily as supplies last, many other programs, no questions are ever asked.
Here is a list of program we have done throughout the years.
