Letters from Families
Dear Roxanne,
How do I begin to tell of the blessings with which your ministry has
had on my 8 member family?
Let me begin to tell you of our circumstances. I have Multiple
Sclerosis, my daughter has Down Syndrome, my brother in law, who lives
with us, has traumatic brain injury, and my husband, as well, has a
disability. The others in our family, who do not have a disability,
help with those of use who do. Your mighty ministry has enabled our
family to eat very well and save money to use for our much needed
disability/medical supplies. I have carefully calculated the savings
to be about 2/3rds of our grocery bill.
We always try to buy from Hope Food Inc. once a week, and we always
make our grocery list after we come home from Hope Food Inc. so that
we can prepare meals throughout the week for our large family.
I would like to take this opportunity to humbly thank all who
dedicate their time, effort and donations to this most worthy cause to
our community. Without your help, families such as ours struggle to
put quality food on our tables.
Most sincerely,
I had referred many clients to your Escondido location. Your organization provided a tremendously valued service to our community.
Is there anything that can be done to help your organization (contacting local officials, word or mouth, flyers...)?
Thank you for providing your services in Hemet

***** 5 star,All I can say is wow! This place is what you call a really fair operation. For $30 they give you a shopping cart loaded with food. Milk, eggs, whatever. And you can come back as many times as you need to in a month. As long as you have 30 bucks, you have a shopping cart of food. They don't look like much, but that is because they are truly non-profit. You get a good vibe the moment you walk in. They are generous, fair, and seem very ethical. I am very impressed so far and have a desire to help them with volunteering. This is the way Food Banks should be run. More food banks should run like this... and in addition offer those emergency carts once in a while in case you are broke at the very moment.
